
NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and staff, led by West Bengal Meeting Chief of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, held a protest march to the Bangladesh Excessive Fee in Kolkata on Wednesday.
The demonstration was staged in response to the current arrest of ISKCON Bangladesh priest Chinmoy Krishna Das by Dhaka police. Carrying placards and chanting slogans, they marched in the direction of the Excessive Fee.
Giving particulars of the protest march, BJP chief Agnimitra Paul mentioned, “8 of our MLAs have gotten the permission to go inside (the Excessive Fee of Bangladesh). Our MLAs from border areas together with the LoP (Suvendu Adhikari) will go, the remainder of us will likely be exterior.
