One officer was killed and several other others have been reportedly injured in a taking pictures at a hospital in York County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, in response to regulation enforcement sources briefed on the matter.
West York Borough Police Officer Andrew Duarte was killed within the taking pictures at UPMC Memorial in West Manchester Township, the borough introduced.
One other officer and a nurse reportedly sustained gunshot wounds, regulation enforcement sources mentioned. It’s unclear how many individuals have been injured within the taking pictures.
The shooter is useless and there’s no hazard to the general public, state police mentioned Saturday afternoon.

The incident started about 10:30 a.m., the regulation enforcement sources mentioned. Officers from the West York Police Division responded and the topic opened fireplace.
The suspect then apparently tried to barricade himself contained in the hospital and, it’s believed he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, in response to preliminary data.
Investigators at this level are treating the taking pictures as a home violence incident, however cautioned the investigation is in its early levels.

UPMC mentioned no sufferers have been injured.
“We now have obtained confirmed reviews of a gunman at UPMC Memorial, and photographs fired,” a press release mentioned. “The gunman has been apprehended, and no sufferers have been injured. The hospital is now safe. This can be a fluid scenario. Regulation enforcement is on premises and is managing the scenario.”
